Squirrels often use roof edges, soffits, fascia gaps, vents, and attic openings. The entry point should be identified before repairs are sealed.

Squirrel Problems Near Freehold

Squirrels can move quickly through rooflines, gutters, soffits, fascia gaps, attic vents, dormers, chimneys, and siding openings. Around Freehold and Monmouth County, squirrel calls often involve scratching or running sounds in the morning, chewing at trim or vents, nesting material in the attic, droppings, odor, or damaged insulation.

Good squirrel control is not just trapping. The important work is finding how squirrels are getting in, deciding whether young animals may be present, and planning exclusion so the same opening does not become a repeat wildlife problem.

How Squirrel Service Usually Works

  1. Inspect: We look for active squirrel signs, chew marks, droppings, roofline openings, attic access, and possible nesting areas.
  2. Remove: We recommend a humane removal approach based on access, season, height, building conditions, and whether young squirrels may be present.
  3. Exclude: Once the animal issue is resolved, we identify openings that may need sealing, screening, repair, or reinforcement.
  4. Prevent: We explain cleanup, odor, insulation, chewing damage, and repair concerns that can help reduce repeat squirrel problems.

We live in Princeton Junction and had a mother raccoon with her baby settled in our fireplace. I called Frank on Saturday at noon and he came out later in the afternoon that same day to help us, even though it was a rainy day. After successfully extracting the raccoons, Frank was kind enough to fix the entry point and also point out other areas on the roof that are vulnerable to wild animals. We will definitely use Frank to fix these areas as well. I highly recommend his services. Frank is very knowledgeable, skilled at his job and explains everything thoroughly.
Response from the owner:Hi Kim, Thank you for the wonderful review. We’re glad we could help with the raccoon family in your fireplace and get everything taken care of before it became a bigger problem. Finding and securing the entry point is just as important as the removal, and we’re happy we could also identify other vulnerable areas to help protect your home from future wildlife issues. We truly appreciate your trust and recommendation, and we look forward to helping you with the rest of the wildlife proofing when you’re ready. Best The Team at Animal Control NY/NJ

Frank and his team came same day. I had some pests that were coming into my home from the outside. Frank identified thier entrance and exits points and started working on blocking it off same day. His experience and talent is top notch. He and his team know general construction which helps when you have holes that need to be sealed without ruining the home's facade. I have called them for another job as well 2 years ago. Both jobs required construction skills. I am very pleased with the outcome. Thank you Frank 🙂
Response from the owner:Hi Edoble2, Thank you for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful review. We’re glad we could quickly identify the entry points and get everything sealed up before the problem got worse. Having a background in construction allows us to make repairs that not only keep wildlife out but also preserve the appearance of your home. We truly appreciate that you’ve trusted us on more than one occasion. That means a lot to us. Thanks again for your continued support, and we’re always here if you need us in the future. Frank was exceptional helping us with a squirrel problem. He made the trip out late at night in southern NJ, found the gaps, and setup a great system to trap the problem. All while my son was asking him a million questions and he was patiently answering. Value his expertise, attention to detail, and managing a problem that is not an exact science. Highly recommend Frank!
Response from the owner:Hi John, Thank you for the thoughtful review. We know squirrel problems aren’t always straightforward, so we’re glad we could get out there, find the entry points, and put together a plan that solved the problem. Frank also enjoyed answering your son’s questions. Future wildlife expert in the making! We really appreciate your trust and recommendation. If you ever need us again, we’re just a call away. Squirrel Removal Near Freehold FAQ

How do I know if squirrels are in my attic?

Squirrels often make fast running, scratching, or chewing sounds, especially in the morning or daytime. Other signs include roofline openings, chewed trim, droppings, nesting material, odor, or disturbed insulation.

Can I seal the squirrel hole myself?

Do not seal an opening until the active animal situation is understood. If squirrels or young are still inside, sealing the entry point can create odor, noise, damage, and a more complicated removal problem.

Does squirrel removal include sealing the entry point?

When conditions are right, exclusion work may include sealing gaps, screening vents, repairing soffits or fascia, securing roofline access, and recommending cleanup if nesting material, droppings, or damaged insulation are present.

How much does squirrel removal cost near Freehold?

Pricing depends on access, height, number of entry points, young animals, attic contamination, chewing damage, soffit or fascia repair needs, and the amount of exclusion work required. A service call or inspection is used to determine the right scope.
